Homemade Hot Cocoa

I have never been much of coffee drinker, but I have always loved hot chocolate. It has always been a source of comfort on those slow Sunday mornings. This recipe is a decadent, dairy free, sugar free delicious alternative you can whip up any time! 

For an extra treat, add 1/2 tsp of peppermint extract for mint chocolate flavor! 

Ingredients

1 and 1/2 cups hot water

1/2 cup canned coconut milk

2 tbs cacao powder

1 tbs raw honey 

dash of cinnamon 

1/2 tsp peppermint extract (optional) 

Directions

Heat water in tea kettle until hot. Meanwhile add all other ingredients to blender. Add hot water and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
